2011 Annual Evidence Update on Tinnitus: Therapeutic Uncertainties

The following therapeutic uncertainties have been identified for tinnitus and are listed in the UK Database of Uncertainties about the Effects of Treatments (DUETs):

Acupuncture for tinnitus
Anticonvulsants for tinnitus
Antidepressants for tinnitus
Betahistine for Ménière's disease or syndrome
Cross-modal supplementation for tinnitus
Diuretics for Ménière's disease or syndrome
Ginkgo biloba for tinnitus
Hyperbaric oxygen for idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss and tinnitus
Intratympanic steroids for Meniere's disease and sudden sensorineural hearing loss
Long term effects of cognitive behavioural therapy for tinnitus
Sound therapy for tinnitus
Tinnitus retraining therapy
Transcranial magnetic stimulation for tinnitus
